If you’re looking for a new or used car in Adelaide, a novated car lease could save you thousands of dollars on the cost of your vehicle and the ongoing running expenses.
This is because of the significant tax advantages that come with a novated lease compared to buying a car with cash or getting a standard car loan.
Novated leasing a car means you acquire the vehicle through a lease provider and pay for it through regular salary deductions made by your employer.
Here’s how a novated lease can be a big money saver for motorists in Adelaide:
Based on our experience working with local employers in Adelaide and across SA, we can help set up tour novated lease efficiently, while maximising your savings.
We can also help you find the best deal on a new or used car lease in Adelaide, through our network of local car dealership partners. This can make a big difference when wait times for bringing new vehicles into South Australia are particularly long for certain models.
We’ll also help you understand which cars will maximise your savings based on the government incentives available in SA.
If you’re considering a novated lease in Adelaide on an eligible electric vehicle, you may be able to claim the SA government’s $3,000 subsidy, plus the 3-year registration exemption.
That’s on top of the usual savings that are possible with a novated lease in Adelaide and wider SA. Including the FBT exemption on eligible EVs.
The SA government has made these EV incentives available for 7,000 new SA-registered battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles valued below $68,750 (including GST). Hybrid vehicles or used cars are not eligible.
Drivers of eligible vehicles acquired through a lease can still take advantage as long as the vehicle is registered in the name of the individual or the business entering into the leasing arrangement. A copy of the lease agreement needs to be provided as part of the application process.
Talk to us and we'll help you work out if you and the vehicle you have in mind will be eligible based on the scheme terms and conditions.
